es problems

Postby vanilladrilla on Thu Nov 20, 2008 7:42 pm

your problem could be a result of a few things, first take off the electronic shifter off the handle bars, spray some WD40 or PB Blaster in it, then get an air hose and blow it out, if this does not work take off the side cover where you check your oil and you will see a shaft sticking out from the crankcase. look in your tool kit, there is a wrench that will fit over the shaft and allow you to shift the gears, or if it got stuck in gear while you cut it off, you might be able to rock it back and forth while downshifting gears, but you might have already tried this, if none of these work let me know, it worked for me and a buddy in the middle of nowhere one night and we fixed his with a lighter and a oldtimer.(lighter was used as the light)
