NOTICE TO ALL THAT VISIT BIGWOODS


SINCE WE OPENED ON JULY 25TH OF 2008 MUCH HAS BEEN LEARNED ABOUT HOW WE CHOOSE TO RUN THE PLACE. LESSONS HAVE COME AT A PRICE AS MOST DO. SOME HAVE BEEN EASY FIXES WHILE OTHERS HAVE REQUIRED QUITE A BIT OF HEAD SCRATCHING. FROM THIS POINT FORWARD I WOULD BE REMISS IN MY DUTIES IF I DIDN'T BRING ALL OF YOU UP TO SPEED ON SOME OF THE THINGS THAT HAVE BECOME SOME OF THE MAJOR ISSUES THAT WE HAVE ADDRESSED.

WITH 3000 ACRES THERE IS NO WAY THAT WE CAN BE EVERYWHERE TO HOLD THE HAND OF THE PEOPLE WITH SMALL BRAINS TO HELP THEM THROUGH THE TOUGH DESCISIONS THAT COME THEIR WAY.

EXAMPLE:

Q:MY BEER CAN IS EMPTY,WHAT DO I DO NOW WITH THE CAN?

A:PUT IT IN YOUR COOLER DUMBASS. IT FIT FULL..SURELY IT WILL FIT EMPTY.


Q:I CAME ALL THE WAY UP THE LOGGING TRAIL AND LUCIFER LANE AND IT WAS TOO ROUGH FOR ME TO RIDE BACK DOWN. WHAT DO I DO NOW?

A:TEAR DOWN BARBED WIRE & DRIVE THE HIGHWAY?

B:BUST DOWN TREES NEAR THE HIGHWAY AND THEN RIDE DOWN THE ROAD?

OR

C: TURN AROUND AND TAKE MY LUMPS..GO BACK THE WAY I CAME AND REMEBER THAT WHAT GOES UP THE LOGGING TRAIL MUST COME DOWN.

THE ANSWER IS "C" ALTHOUGH THE OTHER TWO OPTIONS HAVE BEEN OCCURING WAY TOO OFTEN. WE HAVE PLENTY OF FOLKS THAT DON'T WANT US TO BE OPEN AND RIDING YOUR ATV DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND BACK DOWN THE ROAD THROUGH THE FRONT GATE JUST ISN'T GOING TO CUT IT ANYMORE. NEVERMIND THE FACT THAT IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO RUN A MACHINE DOWN THE PAVEMENT.





WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE NEXT TOPIC...

DRINKING ALCOHOL.


IF YOU ARE NOT 21 YEARS OLD IT IS ILLEGAL.

IF YOU GIVE IT TO SOMEONE WHO ISN'T 21 YOU ARE BREAKING THE LAW.

IF YOU DRINK SO MUCH ALCOHOL EVEN IF YOU ARE 21 AT BIGWOODS AND ACT LIKE A DUMBASS...

YOU WILL BE KICKED OUT!!!

LAST BUT CERTIANLY NOT LEAST....DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED IS AGAINST THE LAW.

THE NORTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY PATROL AND THE BRUNSWICK COUNTY SHERRIFFS OFFICE ARE WORKING HAND IN HAND WITH US HERE AT BIGWOODS TO MAKE SURE THAT LEAVING OUR PROPERTY DRUNK STOPS.


DON'T DO IT FOLKS..GET A DESIGNATED DRIVER.


WE ALL LIKE TO HAVE A GOOD TIME AT BIGWOODS AND SAFETY IS A MUST. IF WE ALL WORK TOGETHER AND MAKE SURE NOONE BREAKS THESE RULES AND BRINGS HEAT ON US THEN THE CHANCE OF US STAYING OPEN WILL BE GREATLY INCREASED.


WHEN YOU RUN ACROSS THE FOLKS THAT ARE DOING THESE THINGS...TAKE THEM BY THE HAND AND HELP THEM. THE ONLY THING WORSE THAN BEING STUPID IS BEING DRUNK AND STUPID!!!

Amen, Porkchop....Amen. I don't understand why people can't follow simple rules. You guys are offering us ATV riders a wonderful place to hang out and have a good time and some dumb-ass wants to ruin it for everyone. Not to mention the trash barrels around every corner. Hello? I have gotten off my ride to stop and pickup beer cans and take 5 feet to the trash can several times.
Come on people....don't be that guy!

I hear you. Why would one want to disrespect the environment, neighbors, owners, workers, other riders and mostly themselves. You guys have worked dang hard to provide a great place and I thank you for that. See you all this weekend.

Hey I've stopped some of the guys I ride with and MADE them pick up cans they have thrown out. I have also mentioned getting a few people together for a cleanup ride if anyone else is up for it.. Its just like anything else, if you dont take care of it it wont last.

Yea porkchop it takes a dumb ass to trash the place that they can go to and have such a good time. Catch them doing it and take a load of beer cans and trash and go dump it in their yards and I bet they wont like it at all so why should bigwoods be any different?? If they take the crap out with them they should take it back home with them or find a container to put it in. It really pisses me off to see someone messing up the park, They need to take care of the place and be thankful that we have such a place this close to home. It only takes a few dumb asses to mess it up for everyone. If there is any way I can help you guys out give me a shout and I will be more than glad to help you with anything, and on my last note ( TAKE CARE OF THE PLACE OR IT WILL BE GONE )

I think it's just bull____ that people would want to shut you guys down! I think the place is awesome and love going to ride!!!! People should know when they come to expect to get dirty! You have my support!
